Scope

Documentation/research/design only. This PR does not add runtime Common Lisp code and does not modify lost-rob0t/carrier.

Maintainer decisions incorporated

LangChain + LangGraph behavioral feature parity is mandatory.
Documents/loaders/splitters/embeddings/stores/vector stores/retrievers/RAG are in the first major parity milestone.
OpenRouter configuration supports explicit client/call values plus scoped/process/environment conveniences for REPL/testing; secrets remain redacted and explicit values win.
MCP research 004 is accepted as the baseline.
lost-rob0t/carrier is the canonical maintained async HTTP fork; automatic libcurl fallback is superseded.

The Carrier design covers TLS chain+hostname verification, cancellable request handles, deadlines, octet-safe request serialization/streaming uploads, connection/TLS-context reuse, redirect credential safety, CI/security fixtures and a proposed hardened release sequence.

Workflow

adds retrieval-contract research skill
updates feature-parity and transport skills to make the approved scope durable for future agents
keeps all new design approval states pending
merging this PR publishes designs but does not authorize implementation
